Here we go!

This is a work in progress about the adventures in raising two boys and the hilarity that follows!

A little introduction, I am Jennifer, you can call me Jen, basically everyone does, you will also hear me being called Mommy or Mama.  You may not call me Jenny, I have never been called Jenny and when someone does call me that it's like nails down a chalk board!

I am a working mom, I've been married for almost 7 years, will be 7 years in August, D and I have been together for 9 years, though if you ask him he says it feels like enternityThese past 9 years have flown by and I can't believe we've been together this long.  Not that I ever doubted it, just I can't believe it's been 9 years, it seems just like yesterday when we started dating.

We have two boys, O is 5 years old and is getting ready to start kindergarten at the end of July. He has inherited both of his parent's extroverted personalities. He goes up to anyone and tells them that he's 5 and his name, his mommy and daddy's name, and his baby brother's name. He also now starts every sentence with "when I was a little kid" Only when he was a little kid was just before his 5th birthday.....

N, is our 18 month old, the baby of the family.  He doesn't say too much, except for Dada, Mama, Papa, Gramma, Oooooo(for big brother), bra-bra(brother again), wa-wa, cupa, for cup of milk, get it?!?! He's a miracle baby, basically both of them are, after I was told that I would never conceive naturally, and I did twice, with only the help from metformin.  N is a laid back easy going child with a HUGE personality.  I do believe we're going to be in big trouble in a couple of years with these two!

Like I said before, I am a working mom, and I go to school part time.  I am trying to obtain a certificate in paralegal studies.  I'm kind of passionate about the law and such.  I have a few causes that are near and dear to me, and one of those things are children rights during custody battles.  A lot of times, the court system doesn't take into account what the children want and who the children want to live with. I'd like to at least talk to the children and find out what the home life has been ect.... I'm a child from divorced parents, so I've been there, done that, and know what it feels like when no one is listening to you.

D, is employed by a masonic organization, and this keeps not only him busy, but me as well.

You may ask why, the kids and my husband are only referred to by the first letters of their names, and that's to protect them, they didn't consent to a blog, and I have to protect them and their identities.  For those of you who do know me and my family well then you know their names :-)

So there you have, away we go onto a new adventure everyday!
